New Zealand has numerous camping grounds, caravan and campervan parks of high standard situated throughout the country. Almost all campgrounds offer full kitchen facilities, BBQ area, TV lounge as well as washing machines and dryers. Visitors are impressed by the cleanliness of shower and toilet blocks and the comprehensive facilities on offer. To get away from it all, Department of Conservation (DOC) camps can be found in remote areas of New Zealand and provide beautiful camp settings but do not provide shower, toilet or kitchen facilities.
